Dr Ajayi to serve as a member of International Committee for the organisation of INCON-MFPA Technology 2018

Dr Ajayi won the prestigious Travel Scholarship of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry to participate in the 23rd International Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine/ 57th Meeting of the South Africa Association of Clinical Biochemistry/ 5th Congress of the African Federation of Clinical Chemistry which held from 22-25 October, 2017 in Durban, South Africa at the Durban International Convention Centre with the theme "Multi-omics, Laboratory Medicine and Personalized Medicine." Dr Ajayi successfully raised support fund to attend the 42nd FEBS Congress in Israel by public crowdsourcing

Following the acceptance of his abstracts, and selection to participate in the 42nd FEBS Congress in Israel, Dr Ajayi raised $650 by public crowdsourcing to support his participation. It was a travel grant raised by family, friends and well wishers who beli\eve in his scientific efforts.

The Biochemistry Department of Osun State University was represented by Dr. Ebenezer Idowu O. Ajayi at the DrosAfrica-ICGEB Workshop that was held from 17th to 28th July, 2017 on the use of Drosophila melanogaster in biomedical research for low-cost and profitable research at the Departments of Physiology and Biochemistry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (UI), Oyo State, Nigeria.

Dr Ajayi won a 2015 TETFund Institutional Research Grant

Dr Ajayi, the principal investigator, and two others won the Nigerian Tertiary Trust Fund research grant disbursed through our University. The team will work on: "Sero-epidemiological surveillance of visceral leishmaniasis in Osun State, Southwestern, Nigeria (UNIOSUN/TETFUND/15/0004)".

The award letters to all the recipeints were handed over to them by the Vice Chancellor in the Council Chamber on 17 July 2017, and they are to commence studies immediately for the next 1 year.

Dr Ajayi was nominated to participate in a workshop series as UNIOSUN's representative on a DFID Education Proposal

The New Nigeria Foundation (NNF), the Educational Advancement Centre (EAC),  some educational institutions and some experts in the education sector proposed to work together and develop a proposal for the DFID sponsored programme titled “Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Innovation and Reform (SPHEIR)”.

Upon invitation to participate in the workshop series as a potential partner, the Vice Chancellor nominated Dr Ajayi to represent the University for the preparation of the grant proposal.

Dr Ajayi won an African Federation of Clinical Chemists Young Scientists Award

The African Federation of Clinical Chemists Young Scientists gave an award of $200 to Dr Ajayi during the 6th biennial conference of the Association of Clinical Chemists of Nigeria, with the theme: "Towards Sustainable  Clinical Chemistry Practice for The Nation" at the Medical Research Centre, Lagos State University College of Medicine, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria from 12 -14 October, 2016.
