The Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) fellowship will enable him to embark on post-doctoral training at the Biophysics and Nanotechnology Laboratory, Instituto Ferreyra, IMMF-INIMEC-CONICET-University of Cordoba, Argentina. Together with his Director, Dra Dolores C. Carrer, he will work on the evaluation of antileishmania potential of African vegetal extracts for 2 years. Among other things, he will screen natural products against Leishmaniasis parasites and endeavour to optimise the transdermal drug delivery of the promising samples in cutaneous leishmaniasis using liposomal system for topical formulation as a potential cure of this severe skin disease.
In a similar development, one of his Masters student, Miss Oluwadamilola V. Fadiya, also won the same fellowship to embark on doctoral training at the Institute of Biology and Technology Investigations (IIByT), UNC to study the production of poly-lactic acid from whey waste, under the Directorship of Dra Mariana Perillo.
We wish them the best.
